What is the condemnation of the false teachers and their followers? One reason Paul issues such a strong warning about these false teachers is because of their ability to teach and defend their false doctrines with such fluent and persuasive speech. But this warning is not to be ignored because we have loved ones who got trapped into these falsehoods and are condemned. It should make us work harder to bringing others out of such false teachings. I know from experience that you will get cussed out, ostracized because you dare to stand up against false teachers. The ones that really irritate me the most is those who talk about their loved ones being in heaven and they had no relationship with Christ whatsoever. But the day is coming when false teachers will reap what they have been sowing.
2 Peter 3:16 "as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction." Or 1 Timothy 6:21 "which some have professed and thus gone astray [a]from the faith. Grace be with you." Hell awaits all the false teachers and their followers because they have missed the mark. That's why it is vital to study the scriptures so you are not led away. So a task means Examination of ourselves 2 Corinthians 13:5. Restoring lost ones to the faith, speaking the truth in love, avoid being in the presence of false teachers, charge them to stop teaching a different doctrine, deliver them over to Satan, instruct the flock, silence them with the truth, admonishing, resist, beware, hold firm to the truth, test the spirits, do not receive him. We must be constantly aware of our surroundings and be able to influence people for the faith.
