What do signs and wonders do for the unbeliever? Carl Sagan world famous atheist used to say “I won’t believe until I see a burning cross in the sky.” Such a statement has more overtones of sarcasm then reality. I intend to prove that by showing a pattern in the unbeliever by using Pharaoh as the example.

Signs and Wonders cause unbelievers to: 1. Question God that they should listen to him. Exodus 5:2

2. They persecute God’s people even more. Exodus 5:6-9

3. They cause believers to question why non-believers persecute them. Exodus 5:15

4. It causes God’s people to doubt Gods spokes person. Exodus 5:20-21

5. It Causes leadership to doubt about the situation. Exodus 5:22

6. The unbeliever will not listen to the point of their hearts being harden. Exodus 7:3-4

7. They see signs and wonders as only magic tricks. Exodus 7:9-13, 7:20-23, 8:7

8. Unbelievers make promises they will not keep. Exodus 8.8, 8:15 (Lord just get me out of this situation and I promise)

9. Unbelievers will not listen to reason. Exodus 8:18-19

10. They want you to compromise the word of God even with signs and wonders. Exodus 8:25, 8:28, 8:32

11. Even when food and wealth are taken away. The unbeliever will still resist until their hearts are harden. Exodus 9:7

12. Even when a unbelievers health is at risk. They will not listen. Exodus 9:8-12

13. Even when weather destroys everything. People still let their hearts be harden to the point of blaming God. Exodus 9:34 

14. When land is ravaged by insects the unbeliever will not listen to reason. Exodus 10:7, 10:20

15. Even when people experience loneliness in darkness they will still try to pervert the word of God to their own advantage. They don’t even want to be around believers. Exodus 10:24, 10:27, 10:28

16. Signs and wonders will not turn unbelievers to God. But the death of a love one will cause them to turn to God. Exodus 12:30-32

17. The unbeliever will generally fall back to a harden heart. Exodus 14:5-8

18. Sings and wonders will save a believer while the unbeliever will perish. Exodus 14;21-31

So it is with Christ death, burial, and resurrection. Those who believe in this last sign to be given will be saved. They are saved in the like manner as Israel who were baptized into Moses under the cloud (Holy Spirit) and the water. When they came up out of the water on the other side as believers they were saved. If Christ death, burial, and resurrection is the last sign. What would be the results of signs and wonders today? After examining the evidence I have noticed that people who put their faith in signs and wonders are generally lead away from two things. The plan of salvation and the Lords table. Look at all the religions that focus on signs and wonders (even when false) and see what their main focus is to preach. Now having said all that let’s not confuse signs and wonders with blessings, and answered prayer. Signs and wonders were used to prove that God was providing evidence that the words spoken were true.
