What shall it profit a man?

“I will cherish the old rugged cross. Till my trophies I lay down.” Very powerful words from that song. The concept is the cross is better than all my awards, toys, achievements. But when you have to rely on God, possessions don’t seem that important. “If your possessions are more important to you than your soul, you can not be a disciple. Because if life means more than your souls eternity. Then someone else’ soul will have little value to you and you will not share the gospel with them. But if you do lose all for the sake of the gospel. Jesus also made this promise to you. “The son of men is going to come again. Every Christian should be so focused on that event that the appeal of the world is next to nothing in our minds.
